Ingredients:
- 12 to 15 large-sized scallops
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon miso paste
- 3 to 4 tablespoons of water
Preparation:
- Mix all ingredients together (except scallops) and set aside the sauce for later use.
- Heat oil in non-stick frying pan and brown scallops over medium heat for about 1 on each side.
- Remove scallops from pan and set aside.
- Add sauce into the same pan and allow sauce to simmer.
- Return scallops into pan and combine well with sauce.
- Allow scallops to cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and spring onions if desired before serving.
