Scallop with Miso Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 12 to 15 large-sized scallops
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of water

Preparation:
  • Mix all ingredients together (except scallops) and set aside the sauce for later use.
  • Heat oil in non-stick frying pan and brown scallops over medium heat for about 1 on each side.
  • Remove scallops from pan and set aside.
  • Add sauce into the same pan and allow sauce to simmer.
  • Return scallops into pan and combine well with sauce.
  • Allow scallops to cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and spring onions if desired before serving.
